Jessica Voorsanger is an american artist living in London, born in New York in 1965 she came to London to study at Goldsmiths College in the early 1990's.

Voorsanger works across a diverse range of media including performance, installation and collage. She has a fascination with celebrity and popular culture that pervades her work, drawn from a childhood growing up in 70's america. A recent project at the Hayward Gallery's Wide Open School saw Voorsanger stage a flash mob dance routine to the musical Hair.

The limited edition print London Cats is no different. London Cats is a collage that combines a vintage 50's London guide with cut-outs of recognisable faces from throw-away glossies and newspaper supplements. Each individual face is cut-out with the adoring attention of a fan and carefully arranged into a swirling donut of familiar faces over London. The cool cats of London.

Recent events and exhibitions include the Art Car Boot Fair and Alternative Village Fete, London, as well as exhibitions in the Transition Gallery, ICA and Whitechapel Gallery London.
